Alas, it rains in paradise

Postby Anxyous » Tue Oct 21, 2008 11:16 am

Going strong on my Caribbean tour, this time around, my second and last Cuban leg. Headed from Joaquin de Aguero to Moa, a nice little trip, hadn't it been for overcast, heavy rain, strong winds and turbulence! :P No actually, this turned out to be my most entertaining leg so far...

Rain... *sigh*

The sun does shine up there...

I liked the scenery in this one, despite the edges at the coast

More sun

Hi you!

Descending... flew the last 10 miles or so at <1000 feet, now I finally get the appeal of low & slow :P

On downwind for runway 25 at Moa

And that's it for this time, I hope you liked them :)

Gonna be heading North to Inagua and the Turks and Caicos.

Might post something from Inagua, according to Google Earth, there should be some beautiful artificial lakes or something in my way :)

:)

As you can see in my sig, I flew out from Miami to the Bahamas and down to Cuba. I'm gonna follow the islands East / Southeast / South now, and then follow the Northern coast of Southamerica all the way, then flying from Mexico to Cuba and up to Havana, then North to the Keys, and back to Miami.

A nice 5000 miles or so :P

Thanks guys! :D :)

You're flying the entire perimeter of South America?

Just the Northern coast.

I'm currently in the Turks & Caicos, gonna head down to Haiti tonight, then follow the Northern coast of Hispaniola to the Dominican Republic, and over to Puerto Rico. Then I'll follow the Lesser Antilles East / Southeast / South to Trinidad & Tobago, then fly West along the coast, up to Mexico and Cuba, and back to Miami.

Ugh, tell me about it, like 5 miles visibility...

EDIT:

Wanna add these to shots as well, the first being of the water I got when flying out from Inagua, and the second is flying into Providenciales:

Thanks  :D

Snatched this on the first of two flights today, this one being in either Haiti or the Dominican Republic:

Mainly to show that this type of terrain appears VERY often in the Caribbean for some reason...
