Time for a relaxing vacation (part 1)

It was a long flight in, stuck inside a cramped, crowded, and noisy jet for 9 hours, and it feels a relief to finally be able to get up and stretch my legs... well, to the door at least.

A pleasant smell was the first thing to greet me as my bus inside pulled up, one of seawater and jet-A fuel. Nothing truly beats the smell of kelp and smokey oil on a stifling summsers day now, let me tell you. ::)

Upon arriving at the terminal, grabbing my luggage, and a quick snack, it was off to pick up the rental car. Out in the parking lot I was told to go, the catering trucks were arriving at the plane I took.

I think I may have lucked out on this one here, they gave me a pretty nice car to boot, and I would never forget to get a shot of the iconic old terminal now, would I? :)

(Hey, you, what are you doing in my car? Beat it!)

And now off to the hotel, first to get my luggage dropped off, and second so I can rest. I'm sure you all know how tiring it can be sitting down all day. ;D :D

But of course, there were a couple of shots one would simply be a fool to miss, at least on their very first day for a plane enthusiast like myself. For one...

After a rather short drive, I arrive at my hotel...

Now, in the meantime, it getting rather close to 5:00, you know what that means. ;)

Stay tuned for more... updates should occur daily, as my schedule permits.

No 'warning' sign.... the disappointment is tangible... ;) ;D

Refreshingly different view of that place, didn't work out where it was till I saw the hotel. Looking forward to more!
