Robinson in Wrangell

Postby Fly2e » Fri Jun 20, 2008 7:28 am

Here is the default Robinson lying around Wrangell, Alaska.
There was a real nice airport addon added recently to the SimV library that populates many airports in Alaska from Ketchikan up to Juneau, Best yet for FSX!
What really impressed me on this flight was to see Ultimate Terrain and GEX at dusk! WOW!! The shots really do not show off the amazing world in which I was flying!
Thanks again Nick for some great texture work with GEXEnhanced!

Great shots!

Are you talking about the Snow Dog Tour scenery?

Not yet! I have it downloaded but can't force myself to cough up the $50 or so bucks for it.

I am using Active Sky Graphics. I purchased it when FSX 1st came out along with Active Sky. The graphics are pretty nice and for now will do as there is a ton of choices and selections to choose from.

Thanks!

Dave

i followed the REX vs FEX thing at FSW (pathetic flame war) and i just really do not like the FEX clouds, they all look to defined. no real blending between clouds. just my 2 cents

Say Nick

I bought FEX last month. I was just wondering. Will they notify current users when the update is available to download or is that something that I will have to watch for on my own?

I can not comment on the new SHD update because I have not used it yet however there are a few themes in the original package that are very well done and look much better than the default clouds. Realistically Dense is the one I use most of the time and my views and shots are always very realistic

As for their hi-res.. I agree with the assessment of them based on the screenshots but until I install different sets and see them in-game, I can not comment on them any further.
