Well just about!

My first repaint - theres one slight issue with the way a colour is showing in one particular place that i cant fathom yet - but other wise shes complete. I realised early on that you could just go on and on re-doing things but there comes a time where you have to say 'STOP'

Shes been through at least 4 complete 'start from scratch' situations....

Ive pulled my hair out over one or two things, and others ive found incredibly easy.

In her final guise, ive even done some 'weathering' which although i cant find on any photo of the real thing (shes always immaculate it seems!) satisfied my curiosity about how you acheive these effects.

Its not McPhat weathering standard in any way, but im happy with the way it looks!

Just like to thank GarryRussell for his answers to my questions and his other tips and advice :)

Need to sort out issues with the alpha and night textures which projectairbus dont include with the repaint kit, so i need to ask permission as ive used others from current PA repaints, before i can upload it anywhere (which would be quite a thing for me as ive never uploaded anything!) once i have the colour issue sorted...!

C+C welcomed!!

First attempt....

As she is now...

Wow! That looks very nice! Great work! I know what it's like to do that (oh well ... sort of) and it is really satisfying if you actually see it finished :D

Are you kidding? Have you ever seen any of mine? ;D ::)

Thanks Harold!

Im pretty pleased with how this has turned out!

Ive got permission from projectairbus about the night textures so as soon as ive nailed the strange colour issue on one little section ill be uploading it to avsim!

Ive also downloaded the Level D  767 paint kit (which has tons of layers and all sorts of things this didnt have) so expect somthing for that once i find a nice aircraft to have a go at.......as i now know a lot of the procedures, i can spend more time on actualy doing the paint rather than researching techniques and other stuff....!

Re the long post - yes i know you can and indeed do posts far longer ;D ;D :D but i worry im babbling on a bit and people lose interest :D and think 'oh god here he goes again!!' ;D ;D

people ... think 'oh god here he goes again!!'

I just love doing that ... but I also like to offer the forum members a little more background information. That is why I add a lot of Wikipedia links into my posts ...

Its top notch, and thanks for your contribution. Some day I want to learn repainting, time is sort of at a premium right now.

Looking forward to future offerings maybe the AFG King air 300 ;) ;)
