Yea, I know. Everybody flys in Alaska. There are more screenshots from Alaska than from Bella Coola and maybe even St Maarten. Heck, I am going to post them anyhow. Maybe someone will enjoy them.

Comments are welcome. Even the ones about my bad mesh and ground textures (snowcones etc). ;D

Nice ... uncommon bird too. I like it.

Alaska has a special place in my heart but Bella Coola also very is nice and so is St. Maarten. But there are so many other places in the world that are nice to fly.

The number one shot is really very nice in does indeed look like Alaska (but what do I know, I've never been there) but the others could also pass for the French Alps ... very nice nonetheless. Are you already using the new UTX for USA & Canada?

Thanks Harold. I do have UTX but I am not sure if it is the new one you are referring to. Also using FSGenesis V2, GEX and all that stuff.

I am not sure if it is the new one you are referring to.

I though that - as with the FS9 version of Ultimate Terrain - Alaska came wit Canada, but I can't find any references to that being true. So it might be that Scenery Solutions included Alaska in UTX USA this time.

However - remember that I don't run FSX - it looks like Alaska wasn't enhanced by Ultimate Terrain in these shots. Apart from those cliff textures the scenery looks pretty default to me.

Also the first three shots look pretty good but I think that the last two are not up to par if you use all these amazing addons. It might be that you don't take the time to let the mesh and textures load but I can't really tell ... it might be something else? Do you use the thumb rule: mesh - landclass - scenery in your scenery library?

Oh Heck man, I am all thumbs. At least that is what my girlfriends say. ;D OOPS, maybe I should not have told that! ::)

Seriously, I'm not sure that UTX has that much to do with textures. I think it is mostly shorelines, roads, waterways etc. GEX has more to do with textures I think though I am not 100% sure of that. I was under the impression that UTX was landclass, FSGenesis is mesh and GEX is textures. I am also running WWW which is supposed to enhance the mountain textures. Some people don't like it but I do.

Anyhow, I will continue my search for a beautiful spot that hasn't been screenshoted to death. They are hard to find.

You need to hurry up and get off some of those Euros and get you a high powered system and FSX. Knowing how good your FS9 screenies are, I can only imagine what your FSX ones are going to look like.
