My new Waco. A great flying, great sounding fun airplane to fly. Just one pic for now. Will add more later.

Ah ... the Waco. That is a nice classic! Very nice bird Bob.

But to be brutally honest I've seen you post better shots, especially on ground details ... :-[

Yea, I know what you mean. I just liked the way the colors of the airplane looked against the sky. As to the ground details. This is MegaScenaryX Sol Cal. This is driving me nuts. Some areas look great and some look like like crap, as you have noticed from past posts. Maybe it's the time of the day and and how the sun reflects off the terrain. Haven't pinned the problem down yet. All I know is the scenery is not consistent throughout the covered area.

When was your last proper defrag? You must have a nice machine given the fact that your running MegaScenery in FSX, but how are your services setup? (i.e. what do you have running in the background?) Are you running Flight Simulator from another disk than the drive on which you installed Windows on? Is MegaScenery located on a different drive? And what does your fsx.cfg look like?

You might also want to check with Dave as I know he's running MegaScenery (although I'm not sure that he does in FSX)

Enough things to consider I think ;)

Everything else runs just fine on my computer. I have other MegaSceneryX software that runs with FSX with no problems. It's just the Sol Cal package that gives me problems in some areas. I also run a full defrag once a month with Ultimate Defrag. The computer is running just great. No big problems with frame rates in most areas. From what I've read in the MegaScenery forums I'm not the only one having problems with the Sol Cal package. I was thinking of buying the North Cal package, but I don't think so. There have also been issues with their new Las Vegas photo-real software.
