one question though... are we now allowed 1024px wide shots?! they dont fit on my screen at all, my destop resolution is 1024 X 768 but on the V half of the picture is scrolled so i have to scroll accross for each one...

Yes we are allowed to have 1024 px shots, it was announced by pete recently.
