I'm not a fan of the Maule but for this trip to Lukla, I thought it might be the best bet.

Having never flown in the area, a flyby over the airstrip revealed the horror; Only one way in, and only one chance to get it right.



It's a tense time and I'm fighting to keep the Maule in line with the strip.



Almost there; but what's this?! A brick wall at the end of the runway, hope the brakes are upto it.



Well, I got it down, but braked too hard and ended up cart wheeling into some tents camped along the strip. The lord Bhudda however is smiling and incredibly I find myself on a parking ramp looking up at, what I beleive to be Mt. Everest. I think I need a better mesh. The default FSX one looks a bit round.

Altiports are good fun - especially trying to get bigger things to stop there (I believe our resident 'stuntman' Ozzy stopped an An-225 here at one point )

Where cna I get this scenery? Is it payware stuff? I've found the airport, and FSX on full settings it still looks bland.

so is this the actual airfeild "Lukla" or one next to it?

I ask this because my Lukla airfield is a short runway with two houses next to it, it looks nothing like urs!
