Studio V 'X vs 9' comp rejects

Postby krigl » Sun Dec 30, 2007 6:27 pm

Despite flying both sims, 9 more than X for sure though, I got drafted into the X team in Studio V's latest comp  :D
Although awesome visuals CAN be got out of FSX, the sheer weight of addons for FS9 are still giving it the upper hand when it comes to screenshots for many people....so my heart sank. The X team are doing very well though - only a few points behind the 9ers now....

Though maybe not ' visually awesome' I was quite pleased with these ones I took while working on Theme 4 though so I thought I'd post them.

The task in 'Theme #4' was 'default lear and mountains'. So I thought I'd try and see if Alaska Cinematic would work in FSX...

It does  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

But then I realised that we should steer as clear of payware as we can....no hard and fast  rules but still. So moved to Innsbruck with some nice add-on mesh for FS9 that may or may not be working in these pics.

Similar to the one I chose, but I went for a straight horizon for my shot...

Thanks for looking, and I wish you a very Happy New Year!

Hey Roger!
Yes, it will work as I tried it a while back.

The great thing about trying out many of the FS9 add ons in FSX is that you do not need to install the add on.
All you need to do is point your FSX library to grab it from your FS9 scenery library.
