Speedbird 1649 Heavy: EGLL to KJFK

Postby ThomasKaira » Fri Dec 07, 2007 11:38 pm

As I introduced to you a week ago, I was lucky enough to finally procure the famed PMDG 747-400 and 400F. My maiden flight done completly on my own saw two landmarks: Me finally entering the cockpit of the famed plane for the famed airline British Airways, and the creation of my own SID departure in the FMC to model the Compton SID for Heathrow, seeing as the PMDG database woefully had no SIDs for Heathrow. ::)

This is my new plane:

I was building up the departure procedures as the passengers were boarding...

And the baggage was being loaded.

VNAV handled the relatively simple SID departure admirably, even though I took off in the wrong direction. :-[ :-[ :-[

Now, I'm climbing out to 35000 feet over England, bound for America, and finally happy to be able to fly this complex plane on my own. :) :)

I'll hopefully have the approach and landing shots up in about 6 hours. ;)

Envy me. Enjoy! :)

Like I said before ... excellent investment Jet Ranger. And I see you got yourself some a livery too! British Airways ... it just doesn't get more classic than that.

So now that you have a nice bird ... go work on your graphic skills. The 'Queen of the Skies' really deserves that ;)
