Is VATSIM too empty?

Some FS players would rather stay offline... they consider that even this (unfortunately I cut out parts of the airport) is "empty".

I know the offline-heavy pilots were missing out top-quality ATC. There was six aircraft within reach of the TWR station. I don't consider six aircraft as empty; even real airports have empty gates from time to time.

(Note: I put it into payware since it was a shot with a Level-D 763 as the centerpiece)

there arent enough people to get everything filled up 100%, but i suppose that there must be events too as it is at IVAO. Filled enough for me though.

I used to fly vatsim a lot, though if this is a reply to the thread over in the multiplayer section, I still consider much of vatsim airspace quite empty in comparison to what you get in ai traffic.  Now, ATC is indeed quite nice to have in online play, especially since its controlled like real life standards, but when your doing IFR flight over and over again, its really just the same routine.  If you go VFR, theres not much to control unless you end up in a TCA.  I would like to remark that I was not putting down vatsim or "turning my back" towards it from the other thread, just merely my personal preference.  Ive done my share of real life flying to take a hit on fs quality atc for more traffic  ;)

Yes, there are events on VATSIM as well, UNICOM seems realistic given the little traffic. Though even UNICOM is up to real-world UNICOM standards.

And six to eight aircraft is pretty much the maximum in non-event operations for any airport online.
