The shots are nice as ever Andy but that is on strange looking bird you've got yourself there.
Never seen it before but it looks like some sort of prototype of the Mosquito ... and she looks fragile :-?

Originally designed as a fighter.... (the variant shown).... it quickly became obvious that it was not suitable. It was redesigned for ground attack and was more successful. I'll do some shots of what became known as the "Whirlybomber" at a later date.

The Whirlwind was designed by W.E.W "Teddy" Petter who was also responsible for the Westland Lysander, the E.E Canberra & Lightning and the Folland Midge & Gnat.
