To that many decimal places, you are actually within a couple of thousandths of a millimeter, or a few hundred-thousandsth of an inch...

Yep. It's "officially" 3.3, although the engines were unofficially tested to 3.6. Bet it could go a lot faster though  ;)

I'm sure somebody busted 4... but even if you could squeeze your date in there with you, not much you could do with a spacesuit on.

It could only get to about mach 3.44 till parts of the nose got to hot that it started melting. However, I think that max altitude is fake, I reckon it could easily go past 85000 feet. How many times you have seen an official max altitude? All I have is 85000+.
