Waiting at Kodiak for the weather to clear enough for a VFR hop to the BFU base just 73nm away - the weather had improved by late afternoon, so I decided to make the short hop before sundown.

Leaving Kodiak at approx 16:30:

Another low cloud base today, but once I got above it, it didn't seem that bad:

Racing against the sun as I head towards my dinner the BFU base at Akhiok:

Back under the hood as I descend towards my destination:

Same as yesterday, I'm still suffering with a crosswind from my 2 o'clock, only 20 knots this evening though:

Nearly there, with the windsock standing proud - confirming what I already knew:

Just after switching everything off, I could hear some engines, or an engine - I wonder if it's Harold in his D18S on his way in? So I sit & wait, but it just turns out to be a Piper making it's way in for an overnight stop:
