Finding Harold (PT 2)

Shortly after arriving at Bear Camp last night, I was just killing some time, catching up with the 'crew' who were working the camp, when another visitor arrived - another of the BFU boys had arrived to bring in some new guys & take a few workers back to Yakutat for some R+R.

Alas, the BFU pilot reported that he had just started feeling sick on the way in & was by now getting a bit shaky aswell - nothing to do but put him up for the night & see how things were in the morning.

Well by the time I had climbed out of my pit in the morning, the BFU chap was looking worse than ever, so with a quick call to BFU HQ it was cleared for me to complete his job of getting the workers back to Yakutat - with an offer to use their plane to avoid putting hours on my own V-tail. Cool 8-)

Just loading the workers luggage & waiting for them to finish their cheesy 'group photo':

Heading north-west towards Yakutat, cruising at 7000ft:

Had a bit of low lying cloud, but up here at 7K it was beautiful:

Evening was approaching fast - due to the fact that most of the day was wasted trying to sort out the problem with the original pilot. Oh well - it's still nice & calm - & there's no better place to watch the sun go down:

Cheers,

Sweet shots Martyn! I like those low cloud layers a lot.

Just to let you know: I'm flying into the Alaskan Peninsula now.
I'll post my report in here when I'm done.
