here I am just after leaving wake:

This is a nice angle I got of the old girl, after breaking through the clouds in the first pic

Running on fumes I finally landed on Midway

continuing my trip, here I am taking off from midway
Image

the sun is setting and I am starting to notice the needle on my gas gauge hovering towards the red zone, I hope Ill make it
Image

There goes the sun do-do-do-do (or: damn, my fuel is getting low, maybe I'll find somewhere to divert)
Image

well my original plan was to go to Ford Is. so I could fly over PH for Pearl Harbor Day, but due to fuel issues I had to divert to Barking Sands on Kauai.
Image

well if my math is right, that's all the room I have on this thread, so I'll start another for the last leg.

#2 is great but i would have liked it better with smoke coming out of the exhausts.

After all Phantoms are known to "drink, smoke and make noise"

Hm... in that takeoff shot, why is the landing gear still down? When I see military jets fly, the retract the gear as soon as they get in the air. But I do love that night one with the moon!
