Just the right time for another short Alaska hop from Antelope Trail Ranch to Big Bear Mountain Ranger Station. The rangers are gripped in the middle of what they call a 'Liquid Emergency' - IE: they've run out of whisky ::)

My first attempt at landing, came in too high & too fast whilst trying to get a nice pic - had to make a hasty go around & try again - the runway is covered in snow so you almost have to stall the plane at the runway threshold in order to be able to stop in time:

The rangers don't mind if you bend a prop & shock the engine in the wall of ice at the end of the runway - but there'll be h3ll to pay if any of the whisky bottles get broken :-[
