Enjoy the ride home ;)

Been meaning to do this one for a while now...anyways, this is where I reside...

Picking  you up from Detroit Metro, KDTW :)
Normally, I'd be driving my beemer, but I couldn't find a FS version...

Pulling out of the airport, I have always thought that painting of the NWA 747 is really really cool. If you look at it from a certain perspective, it looks like a flat image, even though its spread accross 3 different walls :o
Image

Driving down...er...up Interstate-94 (East)...the Uniroyal tire is one of the neat landmarks ;) The real one has a giant nail sticking out of the top ;D
Image

That's the Ambassdor Bridge in the back...only to be crossed for casinos and cheap booze in Winsor, Canadia ;D
Image

The General Motors towers in the backgroud, perhaps Detroit's most distinctive landmark, and definately the key element of the Detroit skyline 8)
Image

Driving down Jefferson Ave now...it will turn into Lakeshore Drive once we get into Grosse Pointe city limits...the lake is Lake St. Clair, and the buildings on on the far bank are actually in Canada :o
Image

Well, turned onto Fisher Rd. now, the empty lot that we're looking into is where my school, Grosse Pointe South, is suppose to be.
Image

Finally, home sweet home. One and a half miles from my school, 5 blocks south of the local golf course, and 2 blocks from the lake 8)
Image

Hope you enjoyed!
Jeff ;D

P.S. The airport is Imagine Sim's KDTW (had it for a while now)...car is a PT Cruiser from somewhere, not sure exactly, but I think its either LAGO's Roaring 30's or one of Bill Lyon's. Detorit scenery is default...as there is not alternative ::)

I've driven on that road in real life many times, from Windsor, Canada to Detroit Metro Airport. That giant tire and painted 747 on the side of the building are familiar sights to me. I like the new Northwest terminal.
