Just like a dream...

Postby Stormtropper » Fri Aug 18, 2006 11:02 pm

Well, I got my sim to run reasonably well...and the box was marked "FSX Compatable"...so I said why not!

Wings of Power II: WWII Fighters...

...but to be honest, I bougt it for the Spitfire ;D

This thing is an absolute beauty! The model and VC are magnificent! You can tell the guys at Shockwave put an addittional effort into creating this aircaft to be as detailed and authentic as possible...it's even got a working dimmer for the sight!  8)

...however, the flight dynamics seem alittle funky. The plane goes into a flat spin very easily, and feels much lighter than it really is...even more of a pain to taxi than it already is ::)...

...and the gunsight button doesn't work! Grrr... ;D

...and it only comes with one paint (but loads of talented painters out there ;)) and doesn't have a real 2D panel. Not really a problem for me, since I fly VC only...but might be for some people...\

Great value for only $30!...and it even comes with 4 other aircrafts!

Jeff ;D

P.S. ...It's not looking so well with the FSX thing. FDs are really messed up, and a few of the guages doesn't work...

...better fix all that for the full FSX release, I'm not a big fan of false advertising :-/

Very cool shots Jeff! I really enjoyed that last one ... it has such a wide open feel to it :D

Can you please post these in the Studio for a Gallery Poll? I think you have a very good chance with that last one!

No FS9? Let me guess.. Your waiting for FSX. I wish you luck with your current setup!
