Did this flight last weekend actually.
Aircraft is an Airbus A343, which will take us all the 3800nm from Stockholm to Chicago.
Tried to plot the route as best I could, so I could calculate the expected headwind component.
Error induced here can easily mean extra fuelburn of up to 4 metric tonnes because of the long duration of the flight

Take-off thrust set, a flex of 45 degrees C

Wingview. Just as with the B737, CFM International is the sole supplier of engines to the A342-343

The Skyline of Chicago is clearly visible as we approaches from the east, flight duration has passed 8 hours as we are aiming for a runway 32L approach.

Busy airspaces calls for steep turns, cant take up more space than necessary, as we are about to

FYI: The airbus says "RETARD" twice as a verb, and then as a noun  ;)

;D

Glad you liked the pics.

Hahaha, maybe is something to distract you (calling you retarded) in the greatest part of the flight (for me).

LOL :P

Nice shots Nexus!

Do you ever speed up the pace (as is doing more than 1X speed)? Or do you sit there for the entire 8 hours? ;D

Sorry for the late reply  8)
For this flight I did not use any time acceleration (but it does happen at times). I started at noon and was done at 21.00LT, but I did lots of other stuff in the meantime and only checked the aircraft every other hour or so.  :)
