Ah ... those 727's. Don't you just have to love them? These old ladies are so sweet and forgiving; like the 707's little sister. I've always liked them.

And Captain Sim's version is just sooo amazing. I like the way you're welcomed by the cabin attendant once you start up the flight. Nice touch! But also the call outs of the first officer are really good, let alone the engine and flightdeck sounds.

I actually know an ex-DanAir (now BA) pilot who flew these exact birds. He was a friend of my father and we kept in touch. He told me lots of stories about the times he flew these amongst others like 737, 1-11 and Comets. I love all these stories :)

I love these shots and would like to see more of them!

BTW: Did you know that Ed Knapp made another excellent skin for the CS727 in a 1988 Dan Air livery? It's for the 722 and although I couldn't find it on the V, it's available here

I actually flew as a passenger on this very a/c from Madrid to Gatwick. A fuel seal in the starboard wing was malfunctioning and consequently when the high pressure pumps were selected there was a steady stream of Jet A1 spraying back into the rear engine!!!!!!!!
