Struggled over the Himalayan footills from Kathmandu. The Maul performed well even at 14000ft. It was a relief to see my destination ahead and make the tricky approach.

Runway in sight. :)

Unusual airport from what I gather  :)
When are you taking the Dc-10 into there?
Now that's a challenge  ;D

Ozwaldo!
I was just waiting for you to show up!
But I'd expect you to bring the AN-225  ;D
You're in a league of yer own.

I'll unpack the joystick at the weekend and get working on it, what is the airports code? Also Andy what add-on scenery are you using and where can I locate it?

It's Aerosofts Lukla ..... the code is VNLK.... and the default version won't even fit an AN225....... put it this way nor with the Aerosoft version... unless it can do VTOL.

Bring in the 225 full flaps, spoiler, right at stall speed, 5 ft off the deck, full reverse on landing, brakes to max, cut the engines.....you MIGHT be able to pull it off...

;-)

yeah, i reckon you would be able to put it down, especally with an up hill runway, although you would need to put it down on the threshold, but you would be grounded there, you would not, and i mean NOT be able to get that thing airborne there, even by diving off the end of the runway, you would stall and crash into the mountain side.  Would be funny to watch though ;D

cheers

That looks a lot like the "Terrorist Arms Bazaar" in the film Tomorrow Never Dies.

Any confirm this?
