It was a beautiful evening for flying. Here we are leaving southern California.

Crossing out into the Mexican desert. For a long while there were no roads at all! At one point I had a hardware problem that shut down both engines. Got them started after I figured out that the mess had shut off the fuel cutoffs!

Then at our planned altitude of 12,500 MSL we started to hit clouds and fog. Eventually it was total IFR.... pea soup. We climbed up to 15,500 to get out of it.

As the sun set the stars and moon came out.

The sunset was beautiful.

It got fully dark, and we then activated the Runway 05 GPS approach, and when we had the runway in sight, hand flew the final.
A great night's flying and chatting on Teamspeak. Join us for the next one.
best,
.......john
