3GD announces Messerschmitt BF-109

Postby OriK » Mon Aug 15, 2005 3:48 am

"Three Green Development" announces a project with high quality Messerschmitt BF-109 aircrafts. The website for more details is still in progress but coming soon. As you know I took a lot of photos of that aircraft. So you can be sure to get a very accurate and detailed model and textures.

I think you know which series of the Me109 we built ;) .

More details about "Three Green Development" you can find on our website (coming soon).

The project becomes payware so I posted the announcement in the paywareforum. But the images are edited. So I was in a small quandary :) .

With over 300 photos of the cockpit (2608x1952) and a collaboration of an aviation museum we will be able to create a very realistic VC. Every day I could take a seat in the cockpit of this aircraft just to view the mechanical parts and its animations.

I want to post some more progresses later (unedited). But I want to keep all stuff in one thread. So it could be the right forum :P ;D .

Edit:
I think you can see more on the unedited image

@Andy
I don't think that vector graphics are possible in FS2004 and the website is still in progress. We do our best to release it as soon as possible.

@Charlie
The founder is a pilot of an A340. The name was his idea and I like it. But there are also Me109 with retractable tailwheel :) .

@Heretic
The development of this aicraft cost money. We bought books, magazazines etc visits of the aviation museums, and we still need a working DB605 Engine to record the sound. It could also be possible to "rent" a Me109 and record the sound during the flight. But its pretty expensive.

@Crumbso
We try to create our own gauge system. We will not copy any stuff from other developers. But when our technique works we should get a smooth moving gauge system as well. And it's possible to make the viewpoint movement a bit more realistic than the realair view.
But we definitely try to create a perfect partner for the Spitfire :) .

Sorry, but those are no arguments for me.

Good luck with that.

@Andy
When you zoom in to the RA spitpanel you can see the pixels too. I don't know any game which uses vectorgraphics ingame. I would say they only used high resolution background images for the gauges.

@Heretic
I think it's a difference if you build an aircraft only with some images from the internet and a 10 Dollar model or you invest 100 of Dollars (
