Frontier Airlines summer 1950-part 17

The passage goes without incident; some scattered low clouds over the city, but they find the field easily enough after contacting the tower.

The captain guides her around the northern edge of the field to take the east-west runway for landing.

Descending through blobs of mist, the captain is cheerful. They're back on schedule.

Now to make a solid three-pointer and get off the runway quickly...

He lets her get a hair too slow... she struggles across the threshold, barely floating...

Chirrruppp!! She suddenly squats down on all three wheels, rolling straight and already slowing.
"Nice one, cap'n," the copilot says sincerely.
"Mm. The wind helped alot there. I guess there's time for you to check the oil after we park... and then we'll switch seats again."

Wait, a 3 point in a DC-3?!  Are you crazy!  The tail would snap off.  You call yourself a DC-3 pilot :-/
