The captain is feeling quite at home now taxiing the big twin; he makes short work of the trip from gate to runway.
I can't say the same- without dual throttles, I'm forced to rely on braking... things get too crazy selecting engines with the keyboard...
Having left a few pax for the flight to Salt Lake and burned off even more fuel, she's finally performing as she should, albeit a bit sluggish on takeoff due to the high elevation.
The weather is fine, and they're turning east, which will almost give them a tailwind.
The turn is a little too wide, and they start off slightly south of course... but Elk Mountain makes a terrific reference point, and all they need to do is stay north of it to pick up the highway and follow it to Laramie.
