But something soon seems wrong...
"Where the hell are you going?"

"I'm going to use 28", the copilot replies.
"28? there's a Runway 28?"

Image

"Sure... see the grass strip there?"
The captain thinks he can see it, but he's not sure... and it's very short.

He forces himself to stay quiet on the approach... after all, the kid's got to fly sometime, and he can always take over.
"You're... certain that's a runway?"

Image

"Sure; my last captain used this one all the time. Not to worry, Skipper..."

Image

"Not too bad, kid... but of course, it's a lot easier on grass..."
"Thanks. You want her back for the next leg?"
"Of course..."

Next: Worland to Riverton

Hmmm.... I can see why the captain wanted his seat back! After another trip to the lav, no doubt....

Thanks for looking, etc.
Having fun making this up as I go along; I have a bad habit of selecting a runway based on wind before checking to see its surface or length... not quite in keeping with the "reality" of what I'm trying to do here, but it makes for some entertainment.

More to come as the intrepid crew makes their way to Denver; doubt I'll post caps from the trip back as it will be dark most of the way. I really don't know how they maintained this schedule; it seems impossible. Been trying to find out more about what a typical work week was like, but the one former Frontier pilot who I contacted said he was too busy to help at the moment.
Getting tired of this run, though- I will most likely start flying to and from Salt Lake City soon- much more interesting, especially with some bad weather.
