Yes, I know, said I wouldn't be posting for a while.... sarcastic comments expected and deserved! - but I couldn't hold back from posting a set from Sandmann's great new freeware Himalayan mesh and photoreal Everest region textures....


...this shot is actually all freeware, with FSSkyWorld, and is a competition reject, but anyway....

The photoreal textures, as Sandmann points out, are a bit blurry, but combined with the mesh they look pretty good....

I have the mesh downloaded bjut I'm still doubting whether to download the Textures... Are they to blurry at low level?

Well, I'd say they look no worse than the default autogen or any other textures at low level, and from a distance they look great. I'd definitely get it!!
