Gooney Bird on the Job....

Postby Jakemaster » Sat Jan 07, 2006 5:29 pm

My first shots of the MAAM DC-3.  I was flying a cargo flight from Chilliwack, BC to Renton, Washington.  These lost a lot of quality from resizing tho.

Cruising with a beautiful sunrise over the mountains.

It sure has a nice exterior model!

Even though some things arent clickable (supposedly its going to be updated), this VC is absolutely stunning, and comes with a cargo hold to!  Cargo can be removed, and on the C-47 the troop seats fold up

Approach over Seattle, I think that white building in front is Microsoft

Touching down at Renton Mun

And finally, after a long flight, the plane is secured with its cargo offloaded.

This package is great!  The model is amazing, textures are really good, VC is nice.  Sounds are incredible, Ive never heard throttle responses nearly as good as they are in this one.  The flight model is spectacular, well worth $30 alone!

The only thing I dont like is the VC isnt fully clickable, but that is compensated by the fact that it is a full cabin, and the VC looks really good.

Excellent... I'm still waiting for mine.  First thing I'm gonna do is install a freeware Frontier Airlines paint on it and do some 50s-style airline flying on their old Rocky Mountain routes (even found some old schedules online).
How long did yours take to arrive?

Well that settles it. If Jakemaster likes it, I'm going to have to get it.

It'll have plenty of company, as I have over 40 variations of default DC-3s already.

The nose art, well that's just a bonus...  ;)

I see that the Duggy textures are now available for the MAAM DC-3 on FlightSim, complete with the big "D" on the tail.

I bet we'll see some screenshots of that soon, right Jake?

Looks good. I've been meaning to pick that one up for a while now but whenever I've been in GameStop I've always found a good looking FPS that turned out to be crap. ::)

STOP GOING TO GAMESTOP!  Seriously tho, If you really like the DC-3, get this.  I wouldnt necessarily suggest it if you dont like the DC-3 that much or you prefer to hop i and fly, this one does require some reading to operate properly, checklists etc.  It is a million times better than default, and you have to hear to believe the sound, its incredible!
