More TriStar's

Have always loved the plane, and I feel that it was never given the chance to really shine. When the latest model was released (which were superior to the DC10), Boeing had already rolled out the 767...  :(

Some smaller airlines, mainly charters, still use the Lockheed L1011-Tristar. And it will be a very sad day when they are all gone  :-[

Can a tail ever look so good?

Doing the pre-flight. Routing today is FNC-LIS, which is a 1h20min flight.

Gotta love those ol' smokey start-ups, courtesy of the Rolls Royce RB211's  ;)

Additional info: Lockheed had serious plans of launching a double-engine jetliner to compete with the A300/310 and 767, The Lockheed TwinStar. But they simlpy ran out of fundings as the TriStar failed to generate income to the company.

So glad I have this in my hanger. Looks good, but I would prefer the black smoke from the engines insted of the white.
