Quickly testing Waterzone

Postby Alphajet_Enthusiast » Wed Dec 28, 2005 3:54 am

Its a freeware water package available at simv.... I decided to switch to it after realising that that oh so beautiful silverwings water has some serious issues from high altitude...  :o ;) (dont get me wrong, at low level silverwings is untoppable!)

So taking out the tomcat is a good way to check it out and have fun at the same time!

The only thing payware here are the carriers which are flightdeckIII...  :)

Looks okay at this level, not quite silverwings but allright
Image

... okay?
Image

Still nice. The tone is actually more realistic now that I think of it. :)
Image

Theres no big lakes of water anywhere above the clouds... the kind of realism is unprecedented! ;D ;D
Image

Looks great on approach
Image

The RIO made a good call! ;D
Image

And at night it looks great too! :)
Image

Im keeping it! ;

Nice :) But I still think most other water textures look too blue. The Silver Wings water (which I use) has the right shade to it, more of a grey, with the right kind of reflections...

Plus, I don't do much high altitude flying anyway!

Thanks for the comments everyone!  :)
Saitek, great you pointed that out I will have to check it out!  ;)

The frames are great, just like silverwings this water doesnt appear to affect frames noticeably, it stayed where it was locked!  :)

Cheers!

Nice shots Alpha!  Especially that last one!  Now that I have a good VGA I thought I was done being jealous, but boy, Im jealous!  If only my parents were willing to spent 400 more dollars(we got the X700 for 100, rebate ;D)

Seeing as I mostly fly the DC-3 under 10000, I like silverwings water.  (I really need to get the MAAM DC-3, default is good, but not great)
