Frankfurt

Postby ramsa329 » Mon Dec 19, 2005 2:57 pm

I was doing some shots for Aerosoft on their new scenery of Frankfurt (more on that later) and had some outtakes.

Anyways 747-400 KLM from PMDG

Yes unreal
Shoots are awesome though, but not realistic. That's my main gripe with colorful textures like this. I've flown alot and never witnessed anything like that at all, looks like Mars or something.

I want good, realistic textures...not sparkling colors  ;D

You know Nexus that I really like you but that response is another one of those that sort of pushes my buttons.

Have you any idea to what level I could critcize shots on this forum?

I have said that I am dealing with the issue of Fs Atmosphere over and over again and that I haven't reached a decision yet.

I have seen a person on this forum being called a "GOD" with shots taken over georender scenery which is just about as unreal as it gets and doesn't even blend in with the scenery around it.

That first shot was sold  to a company that liked it a lot.

so.............................................apparently someone can deal with "inauthenticity" in the sim.

I like being on these forums and I don't mind critical feedback but (and I don't know if you know this) it was this kind of response that caused Bill Lyons to quit when he was attacked for his "lack" of authenticity by a group of idiots on AVSIM.

And the sim world lost another great designer.

This is a sim my friend not the real world.

and before this gets personal please this has nothing to do with anyone personally.

I dont know who called someone "god" just because he can take good screenshots, but if you think that you deserve that position, be my guest.  :)

But you missed that I actually thought your shots were awesome. But they are NOT realistic colorwise. The colors are intruiging, and dramatic, but falls short when compared to real life. I'm pretty sure Aerosoft was looking for an interesting and colorful shot, and yours are just THAT  :)

I'm not here to suck up to persons just because they got the dough to take some nice pictures with their expensive rigs loaded with payware. That's just not me, and they dont "impress" me, or whatever.

However, if I see a guy who takes okay pics, but actually flies the aircraft like it should and managing the systems properly, that actually impresses me more and I'd certainly post a comment of encouraging. Those threads are usually more appealing to me  :)

So relax a bit, and have a little distance towards all this.
I get very sick of nit-picking over a this, they are only images of a videogame after all.

I apologize if I "pushed your" buttons, but when is it my fault when I publish a comment, that were majorly POSITIVE . But somehow you just managed to focus on the NEGATIVE. If you're looking for "ooohs" and "aaaahs" etc, then I can understand you did not like my reply.

See you just made me type the longest reply ever for me in the payware forum, and I really hope it's worth it, cause you're not getting much more  ;D

Its not a videogame, its a sim.  >:( ;)
Id love to join in the conversation.... But im near my top of descent, gotta run through some checklists.. gotta go..

Great shots Ramsa, you are lucky to be able to take shots for aerosoft and im sure that your shots encourage many people to try payware, they just look so enticing!  :)

I think if its any good I might have to buy this scenery myself soon, because my German Airports keeps on getting older...  ;)

Nexus,

I too am sick of nit-picking.

and of course you missed the whole point of everything I said.

and then you made it personal even though I asked you no I told you that it wasn't.

Plexus = the beat

Nexus = the empty space between the beat

Next time try to get the beat

Than maybe you'll understand the rhythm

Very nice Ramsa, FSAtmos looks good most of the time to me, great skies and colours...warm blue on the plane...

Hmm... hope this isn't going to become another of 'those' threads ;) I'm staying well clear. ;D

Well...just would like to say  ::) that...

...there are many types of thread in the forums here...

shots that look so real you'd almost believe they are a photograph....

...shots that are a feast for the eyes, like this set, but are not perhaps so 'realistic'...

and also sets where the main point is a new scenery or plane, sets where the main point is the story and the planes just fit the idea, sets which are a record of a fun multiplayer, sets which are just for fun... :)

I like them all :D!!!

Cheers

Hmm... that would have been me on a post by Eno... It's just that I sometimes look at shots in this section and spontaniously release some strong language, to express I'm blown away by the quality or feeling of a screenshot. However, I know that kind of language isn't appreciated here, so I try to express myself in another way. So if that bugs someone, I'm apologising here and now.

I don't care for "realism" in the shots, as long as they look good! Some prefer to get as real as it gets, others just try to make shots more artistic. Both ways are fine by me and shouldn't critisized. I hope both of you see how rediculous this little arguement is. Especially between members who's names stand for quality and always attrackt my attention!

Take care guys, and please, go on posting these marvelous posts!

Cheers,
