Rottydaddy posting HERE?!

I have lost count of the number of freeware birds I've played around with, but I've been hunting in vain for a proper Cessna 152, like the two I will start renting soon for those flights when I just need to keep my hand in or take one person for a ride... so I finally caved in and paid- yes, paid!! for a model: Flight One's very nice C152. Just the thing for "enhanced chair flying". It handles pretty much like the real thing: won't climb worth a damn with a full load, gets 95 KIAS in cruise if you're lucky, and requires some attentive rudder work to keep the ball centered. I'm very happy with it so far.

The VC is nice; not a masterpiece, but detailed enough and with very good animated shadows, etc.

For some reason the OBS and DG card can only be adjusted in one direction, but there's almost always some stupid quirk to deal with in a real rented C152, so I don't mind.

The 2D view is very photorealistic... dig the old Collins stack.
This view is good enough that this will make a good platform for IFR flight... and oh, yes, no AP. I want to make more IFR flights in the sim- I think doing so in this basic machine will be beneficial.

An interesting comparison: VC wing view versus 2D. But I prefer the VC "feel", myself, for VFR flying.

A very nice paint...
All I need to do now is figure out how to tweak the too-bright nav lights, then make repaints of this model to match the two new RL C152 "friends" in my life, and I'll be all set to pre-fly my little "missions".

Not spectacular shots and probably not the finest payware C152 out there, but it's a good start and a milestone for this old tightwad!!
