Unusual

Postby ramsa329 » Sat Nov 26, 2005 8:59 pm

at least for me.

I don't usually post shots of german planes from WWII.

As a person of Jewish heritage it seemed a little strange.

But I have always admired the designs and this is a beauty.

Nuff said this is the WOP Focke Wulf 190 somewhere over France.

A fellow jew! Yeah, same with me, sometimes I hesitate with the german planes, but then ignore it and fly!

Thanks for the replies.

I just took off from a random French airbase which existed during WWII.

The scenery is FSScene Europe with all the updates especially the latest which realigns the autogen making a really good product really great.

I use a combination of ASV and FE for the environment(clouds water etc....) and the weather.

The "trick" here is that I use Nvidia graphics cards in this case a BFG 6800GT OC this lets me set levels of color correction and image sharpening etc.......................before I fly.

With this I can make adjustments until things look the way I want them when I'm flying.

Beautiful shots.

I think this is the best way to look at it. I admire some of the technology that was developed by the German's, and I think it is also a fitting memorial to all those who died "on the other side" from the allied perspective.

Beautiful.

Try to keep "war" and "holocaust" seperated. Makes things easier.

Holy smoke!  :o those shots are amazing! Especially that first one... WOW!

And Ramsa, just remember, the plane itself didn't choose sides...  ;)

Great shots of a scary looking plane...with that lightning/eagle it really does look very 'nazi' but a beauty none the less...all warplanes are used to kill anyway, often the innocent suffer as a result, at the very least pilots's families. Best not to think about it...probably.

It sure is, and thats the way I usually look at it, especially because I plan on being an Aerospace engineer, so its important for me to look at engineering designs, especially those of such wonderful and successful aircraft.

I'm glad that the SimV crowd can make informative and mature comments. I was flamed on another site for posting a picture of a captured P-47 in German colours.

Great pictures again Michael!
