The Albatross DIII is one of the classic fighters of WWI! This aircraft was plagued with wing failures under extreme flying conditions. Manufactured initially by Albatross, production was moved in Spring of 1917 to the OAW subsidiary, to allow Albatross to concentrate on DV production. The most noticeable difference between the aircraft was the shape of the rudder, which was larger on OAW manufactured aircraft, as depicted in this model. Powered by a 6 cylinder 160hp Mercedes water cooled engine.

Hatter, I guess you are a jackass because we all came to a decision a while ago that a clean white border was allowed in the Payware section!
Thanks for the nice response Piano Man! ;)

Wonderful shots Dave...very nice

I love that 4th shot with the darkening clouds creeping in and the obscuring of the right lake and hill tops.
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
