The venerable 727

Postby SaVas » Tue May 31, 2005 7:44 am

These are of the freeware Vans 727. There is no VC, however you can choose from 3 different 2D panels (depending on which you have at your disposal - Default 737, CaptainSim 727, or Dreamfleet 727)

Overall its a nice plane but for some reason coming in for a landing I always have a very heavy nose and land on the front gear first. Probably user error though

A couple of wing views...

And some of the cargo version (comes in FedEx, DHL, and Aeromex something or the other)

It also comes in passenger versions with Delta and United.

Yes, it is freeware. You can find it at AvSim or flightsim.com (no nodes)

Search for Vans 727 as it was uploaded yesterday (May 30) Might be under "Yesterday's hot files" at avsim

Mr Cantu said on NoNodes forum that they used his 727-200 source files (that he made available for the public) and ripped out most of the details that make them look good (airstairs and some small detail stuff)

Nice pictures. Are you adjusting trim on landing?

Sweet shots, meng. Are your street lights set as mercury vapour? I haven't really played around with the different settings yet, I just set them at high pressure sodium, but yours look real nice.

PS
It might be worth mentioning that a good freeware 727 panel is the Richard Probst panel - there's an FS9 update lying around somewhere for it, probably here or on Avsim.
