...when they have such incredible views like these?!?!!?!?

Fleet Week in San Francisco must be their favorite spot to perform...too bad they didn't come here last year.

Although I suppose it can suck when the marine layer sets in over the coast like this...means a limited performance if one at all... :P

Watch the scenery, proceed to colide mid-air, then die.
Or concentrate, fly straight and true, and live to fly again.
I'd choose the latter.

Nice shots by the way.

That's your opinion.
I've seen them, I've seen the T-Birds, I've seen many groups: not just military.
And the best (my opinion) has got to be the Snowbirds.

I perfer to watch the big jets do solo acts,
and the smaller more agile birdies to the big formation stuff.

that first shot is awesome.
Blue are my favorite demo team.

Granted I've only seen the Blue, T-Birds and Snowbirds. I didn't like the Snowbirds because it's like watching ballet ::)

I want speed and sound as well  8)

Well if you want to get technical, they are still the best of the best regardless of opinion.

Too many good display teams to call one the best of the best. Are we all forgetting the red arrows? ;)

Hooraa for the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team (Red Arrows), BAE SYSTEMS favourite advertising tool.

On a more sombre note, Flt Lt Matt Jarvis (an RAF Harrier mate), who joined the Reds in 2004, but was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the start of the '04 airshow season, passed away on Sunday. He was only just 30...

My personal favourites are in fact the Russian Knights and the swifts. Also the armee de l'air. The precision with which they fly...  :o

Back in the early 90's my old boss was "Red 10" (the "manager" of the Red Arrows). One of his more interesting jobs involved sitting in the back of the Russian Knights leaders aircraft during all the displays to act as air/ground comms and a safety man, as they were somehat of a unknown entitt back then... :)

Intill you have watched the Red Arrows display at Fowey you have never seen an aerobatic display. After all, how many of you have stood with both feet firmly on terra firma watching an air display go on below you? ;D

I have. Back in the days of the old Shepway air display at Folkstone. Unfortunately the 3 aircraft I remember most vividly there have all since crashed... :(
