PMDG 737

Postby Alphajet_Enthusiast » Sat Mar 19, 2005 7:33 am

Hope you guys enjoy this! This was my flight from KSMF to KLAX with an PMDG 737 in American Airlines livery. Great way to spend a saturday morning!

Image

Take-off from KSMF. Nice woodland around this area.

Image

Climbing through 29000 feet above the Sacramento airspace.

Image

At cruise altitude now, just crossed into the lost Angeles airspace.

Image

And coming in to land on runway 07 left. Our STAR took the aircraft over the ocean via waypoint OCN. beautiful approach!

Image

And after about an hour and twenty minutes of flight, we come to a stop in KLAX. About to turn off onto the taxiway. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Los Angeles. Local time is 1300 hours 7 minutes, and the outside temperature is... ;-)

Great flight! My personal reccomendation. Think I might get to the return leg now. Cheers,

Kobe

Very nice!  I bought the PMDG package last weekend, and it is awesome.  I'd have to say the 3rd shot is my favorite.

you took off from sacramento then went to down to san diego, then went north to LA?

Sorry, slight error!  :) I meant above the Sacramento Airspace, San Diego was an error. Glad you liked them.

I happen to live in Sacramento and believe me, it's not wooded, more like dull beige farms, oo, fun.   Wonderful shots though

FMC landing speed calculated at 143 knots... 15 degrees flaps, autobrake 2, gear down...

Sorry, it didn't look like you had any flaps for the landing.  Then again, that is pretty much my only complaint about the PMDG 737...flap settings don't visually look right.  Flaps 5 for take off does not look like flaps 5 at all.

No seriously they're there. Flap setting 5 degrees, trim 5.50.. If there was still space in this topic I would post a shot from a better angle of the take-off but the flaps are there.  ;)

Oh I believe you.   :)

But look at a real 737NG with flaps 5 on takeoff, and look at the PMDG 737 in the same situation.  That was my last point... ;)

Whoa great shot!  :)
Must be 30-40 degrees of flaps there!
Wish I could capture a shot like that but I can't ever seem to get the timing for the lightnening right..
