As a webdesigner with know how with graphics programs, PSP7 is inferior to Photoshop, even when it comes to basic things as aircraft texturing.
Though PS is expensive  :-/

But I've seen worse liveries from "skilled" artists, so don't be ashamed :)

It's a easier than you think...

Just takes patience and time!  The Volpar was only my second effort.

OK Im still playing around with it, but this is my second attempt. Took me about a couple of hours, and there are some things I forgot to paint, plus I have no clue how to import an image, like particular fonts from actual photographs, or things like flags and such, so i am sticking to my "virtual airline" lol

This time I have all the lines uniform, and not lifted on one side higher than the other.

Any better?

You wouldnt if you could see all the way around it Ben ;)

OK Still working on it, and since I tend to fly around Alaska most often, and winter is getting a foothold, there has been no time to wash the bird.

Welcome to SaVas AIR - An Alaskan Charter Company the dirty version ;D

wow, the last one is very, VERY  impressing, considering that you are new to texturing!  :)

The colors are a bit dull, maybe switch the grey to a blueish tone perhaps? Just my $0.02
but it looks sweet man  :D

OK Nexus, I added some blue ;D

as well as made the "dirt" more uniform on top, Airctaft lettering on top of the wing as well as under one, and you cant see it, but I had to hand draw the USA flag on both sides lol

As you can see, she has been though a few north Alaska snowstorms

Reason for the muted colors, is its winter time or quickly approaching and they felt...winterish heh heh

By blue, I think he meant a blue tint to the grey. I think it looks better with a white belly.

And yes, I am here in Anchorage and my airplanes are starting to look less colorful. The last plane I kicked out (N757Z to be exact, the plane pictured in my sig) looked very bland witht he snow on it. I guess it decided it wanted to snow at 0100 just to make me de-ice......
