.... hope compressing it to '4' on the .jpg conversion has not detracted from the quality too much ..... I don't get why some you only need '6' ...... will always have to look now to keep them under 100 ... but I am learning.

File size in a given image size, is in direct relationship to the amount of detail displayed in the image.......
More detail = larger file size......
Larger file size = more compression(jpg) to maintain 100 kb or less......

.... my pics are from FS9 .... there is a small patch to get it working there ...... if you search for sea fury at flightsim.com you will find both ..... the plane is big 20MB! but it all works, even the wings fold.

I believe Rifleman is referring to the detail in the screenshot, not the aircraft.  If you take the shot against a clear sky background it will be "smaller" than the same shot against a background involving scenery.
