[quote]Well Nick, Fly2e asked me for my opinion on FSX now, after a while of use and I gave it. I didn't hijack my own thread. I find it oppressive that every time I say something that you disagree with I end up wasting hours of time posting arguements and counter- arguements.

I have a feeling you're convinced that there are two points of view, Nick's point of view and the wrong one, backed up by years of experience as an expert in your field, and you feel the need to correct factual errors, like for example, you think that parts of FTX actually look crappy - you think this, so it's automatically a fact - but I don't always want to be taken to task for expressing my views.

I've got no more time for this, sorry.

Yeah! Nick had the last word. No, wait.....I've responded  ;D

Nick, I've thought carefully about your offer of keeping out of my threads and leaving me to occasionally vent my views and discuss them with other members without 'expert' counter-input.

Much as I respect your experience and skill etc, as this is, I think, the only time you've ever responded to one of my screenshot posts, given the content of what you are saying and implying, which is grading slowly towards being more and more offensive and aggressive as it often does when you're dealing with someone you disagree with who refuses to bend to your opinion, I've decided I could probably live without your personal attention.

Please, feel free to ignore me in future - even my occasional plaintive cries for help in the hardware forum, where your advice has come in useful more than once.

Repeat this mantra until it sinks in Nick:

Krigl and his petty ill-informed views are a waste of my precious time.
Krigl and his petty ill-informed views are a waste of my precious time.
Krigl and his petty ill-informed views are a waste of my precious time.

Then go and do something useful, like helping A.Vos get GEX Europe out asap so I and others can buy it, or helping the helpless all over the FS community....stuff you excel at and which, as you know, everyone loves you for. Even those long days of your retirement are too short to spend arguing with some guy you're never going to meet about er..whatever you came into my FTX screenshot/pontification thread to contradict me on...  ;D

Thanks for returning my soapbox - looking forward to using it again when the situation arises, this time unchallenged and unabused by the mighty, all-knowing and incisive 'unreasonable-FSX-basher-eating-for-breakfast' Nick - and ciao :)

This arguement does us no credit and does not belong in Simviation. My elders and betters have informed me that they will lock the thread if it continues. I apologise unreservedly to all for letting my emotions get out of hand and things get personal in my last post. As a jedi mod I should not have allowed this to happen.

Further continuation of what has become a personal battle may well result in this being locked by Admin. I will not respond to any further such posts.

If anyone has anything to say about the pics in this thread, please do. Otherwise it's time to let this thread lie.

Cheers

Does this mean that this thread is coming to an end? I've been following it since the beginning. Great reading.
