Lovely set nemo!

One question though.. how do the afterburners look? also do they only work when you have the lights one and such...?

F-16Fightingfalcon I can assure that the F-22 has the ability to and quite often does carry external stores, we research our aircraft thoroughly. We don't just stick any old configuration on the bird lol.

well, no offence, but you didnt study the thunderbird well enough, you left out the number by the intakes and replaced it with the thunderbird symbol thingy. ;) ;D

I'm not sure Soui, while i was flying this kite i never took it past 60% power even while taking off.  Plus it handles like a dream at low speed thanks to the amazingly Modeled Thrust Vectoring system.

i can't ever see the Raptor ever using external stores...ever.  Maybe two pylon tanks for a loong ferry flight...but never usin pylons in combat...its too easy to tank in the air than take the risk of radar coverage w/ pylons.  and the thunderbirds paint on it...come on, get real...that a/c will prob never be used for airshow flyin...to dang fast ;)

You need to bear in mind that when the Raptor goes into combat the tank and the pylon get dropped, so once they're gone RCS is back to normal.

I guess they would only be used for ferry flights, but they could also be used to get the Raptor to enemy lines (if its a long way) jettison the tank with pylons then have a large fuel load to loiter and destroy enemy aircraft.  ;)

You can bet on it that the F-22 will be a hugely popular airshow performer,

yeah, but i can almost garrentee that it will not be the thunderbirds. Most likly it'll be the F-35. Logic can figure that out. The F-15 was never a Thunderbird. (as far as i know ;D)

Lets just ignore whether its economical, or feasible to use the Raptor as a display team machine, and enjoy the screenshots.

Its a fictional application of the Thunderbirds livery, no one is saying that it will be the ride of the Thunderbirds in the future, so lets move back to the subject.

If no-one has seen them, there are lots of multiplayer screenshots in the alphasim forum, seems to be a good ride!

thanks for your comments everyone,

ok it may/may not be used in the thunderbirds display team, but it sure will gather attention at the airshows.

From browsing the Alphasim Forums and posting shots of the raptor and also the spitfire on there,
The thunderbirds repaint was the most mentioned repaint on there forums that was requested.
