Aerosoft Heathrow...

Postby Ashar » Fri Sep 14, 2007 10:53 pm

Here are some shots with the new Aerosoft/Sim-Wings Heathrow scenery...I gotta say...My patience did indeed payoff...This is probably one of the best sceneries I've ever seen...It's really detailed...and my hard work on the AI is finally paying off...The airport was as full as can ever be and I was hardly getting an impact on FPS...Check out the shots and see for your self...

Turning on the Active...United 777 about to Rotate...

Compression Raped...But I don't care...I was aiming more for the AI...
Image

Crap Loads of Traffic...As you can see...I chose not to install Static airliners...

This shot looks rather real no?

I really enjoyed the scenery and it will probably become one of my favorites...Tell me what you think!

Cheers,
Ashar :P

It's the CLS A340 that comes packaged with the A330-200/300 and the A340-200/300...Very nice package overall 8-)

Thanks for the comments ;)

Was wondering if I should get this one after it was recommended in the post I made in Payware. I think I'm sold based on the eye-candy alone. Still, my computer only meets the bare minimum system requirements listed on Aerosoft's page, so I probably won't get much out of it except for a very expensive slide-show. I'll stick to the default scenery for now... :-/

Still, they're very nice shots. All the AI makes for a very nice environment.

Now this may just be my computer but in the 4th shot, towards the bottom of the runway there seems to be a line, on either side of the line are two different colours used normal black surface and an almost blue coloured surface on the other side. This line also cuts through the grass but only to the left of the shot? It's nothing on your part maybe its just where two different textures meet!

Heres what I mean

Apart from that these are some great shots mixed with some beautiful photorealistic scenery. ;)

Looks like another fantastic Aerosoft package Ash! How would you compare it to UK2000 Heathrow Pro?

Anyone out there even remotely thinking of buying this product, I say DO IT.

I bought it almost as soon as it came out and have been tinkering with it for ages.

Defiantly up there with some of the best sceneries ever released for FS9.

;)

Very crisp shots Ash, liking the perspective on all of them.  8-)

I got this the other day as well. With regards to frame rates, DON'T WORRY! It has to be one of the most frame rate friendly sceneries EVER. With no AI on, this runs on a par with DEFAULT scenery, incredible!

The only thing that will hurt your frames is the AI, there are LOADS of parking spots and it will reduce them drasticaly.

That 'runway line' is a bit odd but on the whole it's 1000% better than the blurry low res' photo textures used in the Heathrow Pro scenery.

The only thing i'll miss from the Heathrow Pro scenery are the animated jetways and service vehicles. There are non in the Aerosoft version, you have to pay EXTRA to get that by useing their AES addon.

Kinda true...But with my AI, the entire airport was full...and I mean full...and I was getting 20FPS...and my machine isn't exactly top of the line...heck, it's a laptop...But, it is an awesome airport 8-)
