Waco spotted at Ranger Creek

Postby Flying Mouse » Mon Sep 03, 2012 9:56 am

Lovely bird, loud, slow and not so agile, lots of rudder and yoke inputs to keep her rolling.

Add-ons used:

Alabeo Waco
ORBX PNW
REX Overdrive
Shade & 24 Hour ENB
Accufeel also works with this bird

She sounds great.

She flies great.

Don't try this at home.

Course set for Bowerman. Wish she had a gps

Fantastic shots !

When you're flying over Ranger Creek, just follow that valley that gets around Mt Rainier. Go to the south side of the Mt, you'll find Packwood not far away. A lovely quiet little airfield :)

Down the valley there's another one, with grass/mud runway though. And in the mountains nearby, there a nicer airport, not so visible until you get really close to it... 39P or something really similar, I can never remember. This area used to be my favorite area back in the FS9 days, together with Concrete. Now with FSX and OrbX PNW, it's even worse  ;D

Thank you for the heads up on those bush strips.

I added the default GPS to this bird as a 2d pop-up.

A little frustrating to fly an area without GPS when one does not have flight maps.

Works a charm now, so I could go visit those strips.

PNW makes everything better! Great Shots!  Try flying through the mountains in Idaho, (my back yard ;D) and see how you do with that!  ;)
