Take two with John & Sean

Postby ShaneG_old » Tue May 19, 2009 5:57 am

Did the Taipei to Kai Tak run with John & Sean last night. After around an hour and 10 minutes of nice flying, I crashed to reboot. :-[

The weather was kinda soupy, and the winds were a bit stiff the whole way there, but still a great time. ;)

Managed to get a few shots in before the system took a dump on me. 8-)

Third time is a charm? :D ;)

Sitting on the ramp with John while Sean turns for a touch & go.

Holding in line for traffic, not seen very often in online play. ;D

Sean about to touch down & go.

At 32,000 nice heavy cloud deck below. A 32kt head wind shifting from dead on to a little off to the left made for some interesting trim work the whole trip.

Thanks John & Sean for the trip,

and thanks to you for looking. :)

Wow Shane, I thought the first one was a photograph. Sorry to hear about the crash  :-[.

By the way, what happened to the landing gears on the the 777 taking off in front of you?

Yup.... you were floating.  I am using FSGenesis mesh for the whole world...... so that might account for part of it.

best,

Great shots. I love the JAL paints on Boeings. It looks good on their A300s too, but put that paint on whatever Boeing you want, and it looks great!

Another reason for the sunken tires in the first image of Shane's is that THIS is what I actually was flying:

The JAL repaint is mine.... JAL never flew these.

Missing the buildings...... I hope......

Final into Rwy 13 at Kai Tak:
