Flying real weather did not turn out to be a nice day for sightseeing. I wanted to fly the whole island but weather cut the trip short.
Made a few turns and then flew heading for approach on RWY 4L. RWY 4R used by heavies.
A few NM out my engine flame-out. FsPx report indicated a drop in oil, which I did not note, I had to ditch. No-one died, plane is a write-off and insurance only cover 66% of costs.
It is Nick's fault, green lizzard dudes I guess.
Just cleared the mountains, east of Honolulu.

Turning back West.

Crossing over the harbor down the main beachfront area.

Getting ready to turn back West again.

Few miles out I had a flame out. Set transponder to 7700, declared an emergency, secured the engine and glided for the ditch.
FsPx lets you float if you land softly on water.

Thanx for having a look
