New SSO

Postby Rich H » Sun Oct 05, 2008 4:10 pm

Some pics of my new Space Shuttle from Captain Sim, I bought it as Captain Sim are holding their autumn sale. C & C welcome. Can be a bit hard to fly sometimes, i think I once got myself into Gimbel lock, so I re-entered the Earth's atmosphere in a 90 degrees angle. But I certainly recommend buying it.

"Politics" is made up of two words, "Poli", which is Greek for "many", and "tics", which are blood sucking insects. - Gore Vidal

So does the shuttle simulate real flight physics when in space..? I thought it wasn't possible in FSX yet?

Nope! ;D It still flys like a plane under water when in space.

Surely there are no 'flight' physics in space? Any object no matter what it is, will go whatever way you point it and apply thrust, and wont stop until you apply braking thrust, or accelerate with gravitational pull, or the reverse?

So physics in one sense, but not 'flight' as we know it here on earth?

In the hands of Isaac Newton and all that :o
