Thought I'd post the raw, un-edited version of my entry into this round of the Judge's Choice competition:

May 18th, 1953, is of some significance, seeing as it was the day Captain James C. McConnell had his last engagement in the Korean War, where he shot down three enemy fighters.

He was transferred back to America after that.

The plane 'Beauteous Butch' which is the F-86F featured in the shot was his.
