Bella Coola Bliss

Postby evanatorx » Fri Jul 18, 2008 10:10 pm

Took a break from airline runs to have some fun in the harvard. I took off from Bella Coola and ran between the cliffs inches above the river. Then I quickly went vertical (before hitting a mountain) and did some aerobatics. Finally, once above the terrain I cruised real slow all the way back to Bella Coola for a perfect visual landing. Really nice.

The first shot is my favorite, but cutting off parts of the aircraft doesn't do it any good--I'm sure Harold agrees  ;)  ;D

Also, space out your shots. Don't just leave them right on top one another, it looks messy  ;)

Jeeze, seems I can never please EVERYONE on SimV. Well, I spaced em' out. But I will continue to chop off wings and tails as it's my artistic license.

P.S. I've never seen a set that Harold doesn't critique. Guess we're not as perfect as he is  :-/

Im pleased...cutting off the ac isnt bad, as long as its a good composition? The first one does have a nice angle, the rest are pretty good, although some more variety would of been nice.

Great stuff but if you zoomed out a bit to let us see the fantastic scenery it would have been better. ;)

All look excellent.

What is this guff about, "Not cutting bits off the aircraft"?

I'm a firm believer that the best screenshots tell a story and, that which isn't on the screen is oft times, as important as that which is. We know it's there and it's absence lends a sense of dynanism, atmosphere and mood.

These shots wouldn't have been half as good had you zoomed out to a point where all the craft could be seen.

I think the issue is that there is no variety in the angles. All pretty much the same zoom. Having parts of the aircraft cut off in shots isn't necessarily bad, its just when its every shot.

Again, just constructive criticism
