Launcelot

Launceston is maybe the 'flagship' new development in the new FTX freeware release so I thought I'd fly there and check it out first.

Tasty terrain... and Launceston.

Almost too complex down there...

Finally on final, snow-topped mountains in the far background.

Look ma, no lights...

I'll leave close-up and candid shots of the airfield to someone more adept...

...verdict on what I've seen of this new stuff so far - not bad at all  :)

Thanks for looking

Nice shots Roger. 8-)

I'm yet to download 1.2, massive file. :P But from what I've seen it looks worth it.

Thanks guys! I don't know why, but it took my comp 17 hours to decompress and install the data. That's right, seventeen hours. I was gutted...  The horrible green bar was mocking me with the sentence 'decompressing the data may take quite some time'. Quite some time??  :o :o
I haven't heard anyone else complaining, so it must be just my kooky machine.  ::)
Loving the results now though.

Cheers

To me too, but I've noticed that if you present something on a forum as the best thing ever then people often just either reply to diss it or, worse, ignore it altogether
